At 2:00PM NZST, an incident occurred in which a supporting service started to experience latency degradation. Engineers were alerted at 2:04PM and started resolving the issue until it subsided at 2:12PM, after a duration of 12 minutes.
Post incident analysis indicates there were long delays retrieving information from our database. This caused further delays to data retrieval in other parts of the system, which may have affected loading times for some users.
We have identified areas that we can improve upon regarding the database, and this work is due to be prioritised and scheduled.
